Regardez Ça!

Ha haa! First plate in a very limited edition of six plates featuring the omnipresent Marie and Pierre, introducing French culinary wonders to the children of the nation! Well sort of.

Plus de Ceramiques

Ah oui oui, plus de tests. Thinking of producing two sets of six plates, one all blue, and one brown plus other colours like the one on the far left...then deciding after I have the results... Bonne idée? Which is the most pleasing to the eye? Then imagine you are six years old; which is the most appealing now?

If my illustration career fails I might become a professional cake decorator and get paid to do this kind of thing.

Ceramiques like.

As promised (yes I'm sure you've all been waiting with baited breath) here's a photo of the fun i've been having at home with my mum's underglazes and some scruffy old tiles. Not just idle doodling though, these are tests for a plate project tying in with the old Marie and Pierre book- yes learning must never cease; there is no escape, even while you eat! Ha ha ha ha. I believe the blue and white ones are working best out of this lot, however I've got some more awaiting firing with different colour combos- I was advised to put some colour in for the kids- does anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Eh, eh?
